We hear a lot of advice of the lines: "don't worry about your 20s, your 30s is when things really start to get together for you."

This got me thinking, how do you picture your life to be when you are 35? What accomplishments do you hope to have done? What kind of work-life-balance do you hope to have?

So I'll start, I am 26 now. I just landed my dream job. I am a software engineer and now I am a backend engineer at Google. I have been to 12 countries, and I play the piano and paint in my free time. I make good money, and have a very good work-life-balance, with a four day full-time contract. But I am single and I do not feel like I make the most out of my free time. So this is my life now.

So now for the future. When I am 35, I will be married, and I will have two kids. My work-life-balance will stay the same, if not better as my company grows and work hours decrease. My job will be as enjoyable to me as it is now, I will wake up excited to work and will have a good dynamic with my coworkers. I will go on a one or two week vacation every two to three months. I will play the piano and paint every day for an hour. I would have gone to 40 countries, gone camping and backpacking in the wilderness, gone bungee jumping and skydiving. I will work out every day. I will have a big house and an apartment in a big city that I can stay in all to myself whenever I want to be alone. I will have a big extended family, that we see often. I will have a lot of close friends. I will have my own office at home to work in. I will have a lot of money in my bank account.

I will contribute to charity, and volunteer often. I will have the means to spoile my family and friends with gifts whenever I feel like it. I will be able to eat healthy and I will have a healthy relationship to food and alcohol that is consistent with my goals. I will be selfconfident and inspired every day.

So what do you guys picture for yourselves?
