what if the middle east was the dominant world power?

like the question says. what if the middle east was the dominant world power somehow? whether that's through conquest, or money, or sorcery - the point is that this world should operate in a way that's opposite to our own. I'm asking as a response to the many posts on this chamber that centre Europe or the western world and wanted to think about what the opposite end of the spectrum could look like. <br><br>So for an example, in this world the middle east could have been the first to colonise the new world, or could be the seat of a modern-day empire that rules over previously European nations. another example would be that the middle east has been completely isolated from the rest of the world through some sort of natural barrier or magical process. <br><br>what are your ideas?
