Picked up my first firearm ever, a Rossi RS22. What’s the next step for it?

I’ll be picking up some ammo and training by a professional shooter. What else should I do with the Rossi RS22 now? Should I get some spare mags too?<br><br>Update: I ended up training at my local shooting range and even got some 1-on-1 training by the head trainer who spent 15 minutes with me on how to shoot a rifle. I purchased 500 rounds of .22LR and only shot 50 rounds.
