Do you travel by Airbnb, VRBO, or Hotel?

My family is currently traveling in a part of the US that is really touristy so it's been shocking to see the difference in pricing between Airbnb and a hotel.<br><br>I usually favor a hotel for all of the obvious reasons, consistency, regulation, and customer service. I don't like Airbnb because it feels like a gamble and I'm not comfortable paying an entire stay up front.<br><br>However, the pricing of Airbnb is usually so much cheaper than a hotel. I'm not usually a fan of a VRBO so that's not even an option for me.<br><br>What is your favorite?<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: We usually stay in the middle of the road, Marriott or Hilton properties.
