Avoiding Sucky Software

I've spent the whole day trying to find the least sucky mind mapping software, and I have to say that I'm really shocked how many applications have the phrase "mind mapping" in the titlebar, but are not capable of doing the most basic mind mapping operations.<br><br>What are you using for mind mapping, and how do you like it?<br><br>Currently I'm using yed, which is clunky, an absolutely unprofessional piece of software, but actually works. I've tried 5 other mind mapping apps, too, which were all super nonfunctional and buggy.
