My family had a discussion about money

My family has a snapchat group chat. We don't really use it for actual discussion but one of the topics was about spending money. I put a picture of my coffee, and an orange from the grocery store in my office fridge. It was a 10 cent orange. My other family members posted pictures of their coffee. They are all Starbucks. Each one of them has a coffee from Starbucks every morning, 5 days a week. 2 of them have over a dollar of creamer in their coffee. Every week, one of them will probably also buy lunch from Starbucks and spend $15 on a sandwich. I think they both do it once a week. They also eat takeout 2-3 times a week. They also buy subscriptions to websites and streaming platforms that they barely use.

They posted the pictures saying that you can't put a value on the joy of a cup of Starbucks coffee. You can't put a price on things that make you happy. I think that is true, but someone who is frugal needs to tell my family that you can put a price on the stress of spending your whole paycheck and living paycheck to paycheck. You can put a price on the opportunity cost of $100/month being spent on Starbucks coffee. They could easily invest that money, or pay off debt with that money.

I think they are struggling to understand the frugal perspective and I could see my grandma chiming in saying that you can't take money with you when you die. I can't blame my family for being ignorant. They don't know any better. They have been spoiled. But my chambers family, I know you get me \:)
