How does one reconcile the fact that polyglots do it with ease, but you are struggling? What mindset is there to skip the idea of “I am just not suited for it, so I can’t do it”?

I myself and many of my friends interested in the subject are having a hard time reconciling how polyglots and people who are multilingual do it simply and with so much ease, and the fact that we struggle with even the smallest things when it comes to learning a new language. For example, it is very hard to not get discouraged and think “ugh, this is never going to happen” when you struggle with speaking and grammar and pronunciation, even on your second language, when you hear stories of people who have been to university in three different countries in their life and grown up in a completely different language. Any thoughts or tips on how to avoid this trap and make steady progress and feel motivated even though we are not naturally talented or gifted in the subject?
