is there any free api to get cities from any country, state and province?

i am working on a project and this is a must have feature to get the cities from any countries, states or province. i did a quick search on open source apis and i was surprised to find out that most of them are paid service. <br><br>is there any free api that can provide the cities from any countries, states or province?<br><br>thank you for the help
