Am I the odd one here?

I've seen lots of complaints about the lack of focus on pronunciation in Duolingo, and the lack of an in-built speech recognition tool.

I've been using Duolingo for almost 2 years now, and I really like the app. Sure, there are some problems, but in my opinion, it's not Duolingo's job to teach us how to pronounce correctly. It is indeed a language learning app, but its main priority is to teach us a new language. Nobody expects a piano teacher to teach you how to build a piano, or a driving instructor to teach you how to build a car.

By the way, I am a native English speaker and I am currently studying Romanian on Duolingo.
