I have no savings, no emergency fund, some credit card debt, and a small income. Where do I even start?

I'm not broke. But I'm certainly not thriving. I've always been an anxious person, but as I leave my 20's behind, my financial anxiety is burying me. I've read books, articles, Chambers, and still I have no idea where to start.

I'm a single person, no kids. I have a small income (~$50k/yr) in a high wage city (~$4k/month rent and utilities) with high inflation. I have about $1.5k in credit card debt and no savings. I've never had a hard time finding a job, but I work in a competitive field and salaries are low. I'm pretty financially illiterate, but I know I should be ashamed. I'm an American, with no benefits, so I have to pay for health insurance and medical costs out of pocket.

I've been trying to increase my income but I need to get a handle on my finances now, and I need to do it in a way that doesn't cause burnout. If y'all could point me in the right direction, I'd be so grateful. Where do I even start?
