Has anyone ever experienced severe ringing in their ears for days on end, then all of a sudden it completely stops?

This is pretty much the only thing that I have ever experienced that really made me think that this place isn’t quite right. <br><br>I’m not sure how old I was, but I think in my mid 20s. It was probably around the year 2000. I don’t remember how long this lasted, but many days maybe even a week or so. My ears rang so loudly that it was the only thing I could hear. It was driving me insane. Then all of a sudden it completely stopped. <br><br>It has happened a few more times since then but only in short spurts.
