Why do people still believe its wrong to kill babies before theyre born, but moral to kill them immediately after theyre born in case the parents don’t want them?

Theres no point in sugarcoating this because the topic is grim enough. But a decent amount of people in real life and the internet seem to still have a problem with abortion, its weird because they fail to remember babies are not capable of moral agency and they don’t have the ability to think in terms of modal logic, so everything is as it seems to them and they don’t really see a difference between being inside a womb versus a crib, so why is one wrong and the other okay?
