With so many unanswered questions related to the effects of cannabis in people, the US government has announced a $9 million study to examine the effects of marijuana on dogs.<br><br>According to the NIH, researchers at Colorado State University are going to create a 5 year study examining the effects of CBD and THC on dogs to see if the two chemicals can help with pain, epilepsy, and “stopping the progression of the canine compulsive disorder, known as CCD, which stems from severe anxiety.” There is absolutely no mention of whether or not dogs are suffering from these issues from smoking weed, or if they’re just studying how weed affects dogs period. <br><br>**TL;DR:** NIH is spending 9 million dollars to see how marijuana affects dogs, with a focus on pain, epilepsy, and compulsive disorders.
