"Y'all" is a brilliant use of the English language and I refuse to be told otherwise

I'm British, from a small town in the middle of England, nobody EVER says "Y'all" here and I've never heard it by anybody in real life. But whenever I hear Americans say it, it makes sense.

There is no real substitute in English, and if there is, I don't know it. It's not "You lot" because that's negative. It's not "All of you" because that's a mouthful. It's not "You guys" because that's rude ifLES there's a girl among you. The word "Y'all" is the perfect substitute for everyone. It's not offensive to gender, race or age. It's efficient, and it makes sense. I love it.

Edit: Just to clear things up, I'm from a very rural, farming heavy area of England, so I say "Y'all" all the time in the fields!!
