I don't understand why money had to exist.

Money is essentially a tool to "measure value" right? Just to make it more organized, easier to buy/sell things. We already had bartering, and it worked for the small, local communities right?

Then currency was born, and it became the standard unit for measuring value. Idk why it has to exist.

Why do we have to pay for things like healthcare, housing and necessities? Do we always have to be earning money to buy these things? What's wrong with just giving to each other? I'd gladly work somewhere for free if they provided me free food, shelter, healthcare and other things I need for free as well. I would be more than happy to go to work everyday. We'd all be happy to do so. And people always talk about how it'd be "inefficient" if everyone worked for free, but like...I don't understand why that's the case.

My point is, money is completely made up. There's no need for it at all. And I feel like since we're all humans, we should be more concerned about each other rather than having money to copulate us.

Am I just going crazy?
