Eye witnesses drawing their observations of the same event do not match

No idea where to post this but really glad I stumbled upon this place , it gave me an amazing feeling <br>Now I've been reading about this topic for a little bit now and I think the information is valuable and might contribute to the main theme of this subreddit.<br><br><br><br>The Lofthouse train crash occurred on 17 September 1956 at Lofthouse Summit, near Wakefield, England. A **steam locomotive** hauling a coal train **ran into the rear** of a passenger train which had stopped in a **fog bank**. The **locomotive's** **tender** was **thrown up in the air** and fell on its side against the side of a **bridge**. The bridge was **badly damaged** by the impact. There were no casualties on either train, as only one passenger was on the passenger train and he suffered minor injuries in the accident. Also unhurt were the two crewmen on the **steam locomotive**. The locomotive was completely destroyed and had to be cut in three places before it was **craned** off the scene. The bridge was later **dismantled**.
