How does one ship a computer to someone else from the Apple website?

Someone in another chamber that I frequent posted a comment saying that their dad ordered a MacBook Air from the Apple website and was able to have it shipped to a “friend’s” address which was actually the address of the scammer. <br><br>I’m very confused at how he managed to pull this off and I would appreciate it if someone could explain this process to me.
