You don't need a passport to travel out of country if the TSA doesn't ask for it.

My son has had his passport taken by his ex. I knew he needed to get to Costa Rica and wanted to make sure that he could travel. I called the TSA and they said if he had a valid license and boarding pass they would not ask for a passport. He made it through and is now in Costa Rica. I wanted to pass this on because I know how stressful it is when someone has taken your passport.<br><br>Edit: how would I know that they were incorrect? Don't be rude. I am just trying to help.
