Been on the other side of life when we were down 15k. But today was the day we lost 8k. Most of that is from the UK, but we got hacked by a Chinese domain management company and they forced a domain renewal for 5500 USD, a domain renewal they never did before. It was malicious. And they used an older email address they got from 10 years ago. We had to lock down our entire business earlier today. I had a business meeting with them in the UK, and it was the worst timing ever.

But the good thing is that we had a debit card setup with them so it was easy to cancel.

But it just reminded me of how hard it is to make money, and how easy it is to lose it. The next lockdown could happen at any moment, and could take away our livelihood at a drop of a hat. To be honest, if it wasn’t for us diversifying our business, we would be in a lot of trouble.

I think this was just a wake up call for us to be more careful, and to just work more, and truly enjoy the life that we have and how hard it is to make money.

Edit: it wasn’t 8k, more like 5k but still, one of our biggest financial losses so far.
