I think I am going crazy.

I was on a brief phone call with someone. I said "you're, welcome." And they responded with, "what are you sorry about?"

I said, "I wasn't saying 'I'm sorry', I was saying, 'you're welcome'."

Then they repeated a similar phrase. I didn't catch it in time, but I think it was 'I don't think I'm the one who is nuts.'

I think they said, "you're nuts" and I heard "you're welcome."

I was kind of flustered, so I couldn't catch what they said. And, I don't want to go back and question them on it. I've only met them once or twice and both times, I heard them improperly. My wife thinks I'm nuts too. But, she's excessively hearing impaired so she doesn't know anything about it. I've been hearing that phrase like that from a few people recently, and I'm interested to know what the common phrase is.

So, what is the common phrase? You're nuts or you're welcome?
