I'm in 9th grade so it may be a bit different for those in higher or lower grades but I wanted to share this to help people because I know how hard it can be to get good grades in English.

I have always done well in English but for the past year or so I really wanted to make sure I got perfect grades. I got 90% and above for every one of my English assignments, and I really tried to push myself.

I wanted to explain what I do when I have to write essays about a text or a topic, and how I work. I also want to share what I did to get 100% in my final English exam, which was three hours long.

First of all, I work really hard. I spend a lot of time alone studying but I don't mind because it always helps me get really good grades. I'm also really interested in English and I enjoy it, which makes me more motivated to study hard.

When I have to read a text and then write an essay, I always start by reading the text really slowly and carefully. I make sure to annotate, which I can into detail about below. While I'm reading, I'm constantly thinking about themes or important points in the text. I will always write down any points or themes I notice so that I can use them in my essay.

When I'm annotating, I highlight important parts in the text and use symbols to help me identify what is important. I use sticky notes to put the themes or important points into different categories so that it's easy for me to find them when I'm writing my essay.

To make sure I understand the text, I rewrite it in my own words. I explain it to my friends and family, and I even talk to myself. I want to make sure that I have a deep understanding of the text, because if I don't, I can't write a good essay.

I want to explain more about the sticky notes. The first time I saw someone use them in this way was in a video explaining how to annotate. This is really important. I put a sticky note at the start of every chapter or section of the text. Then, I put little pieces of paper with different words on them, to help me identify important themes or points in the text. For example, if I have a piece of paper that says 'love' on it, this can help me find all the parts of the text related to love.

To help me study I make flashcards. I write a character or theme on the front, and then on the back I write a list or explanation of all the important details. I spend a lot of time making flashcards because it helps me a lot. I use the flashcards to play games and to help me remember important details.

The night before the exam I went through all of my notes really quickly. I was just trying to remember the themes and important points in the text. I went through all of my flashcards and I made sure that I was ready to do my best in the exam.

I'm sorry for not talking more about the writing process. I'm happy to give more tips if you want, but I'm not really sure how to explain my writing process. I just try really hard to make sure my grammar and spelling are correct. I ask my friends and family to read my essays so that they can give me feedback.

When it comes to exams, I try to stay really focused. I take deep breaths and I try to clear my head. I make sure to read the questions really carefully. The top of my exam paper is always full of scribbles, because I am constantly writing down important points that I need to include.

I always read through my essay really carefully before I finish. This helps me make sure that I haven't missed anything important and that I haven't made any mistakes. I will also draw a little picture to help me remember different themes or points.

I also always ask for help. I ask my friends and family to read my essays and help me study. I ask my teacher to explain things to me again, because I know that understanding the text is the most important thing when writing essays.

I'm sorry, I don't know how to explain it well. I can only study in silence and alone. I'm sorry if that's not how it works for you.

What I wanted to say is that getting 100% is a lot of hard work. I know that getting really good grades can be difficult, but I've learned that it is possible if you put in the effort and time.

I hope this helps you, I'm so happy to help people and I want to share more information if needed.
