How likely is war to break out in Asia?

Hello, I am a Singaporean here. My country is a small island city state (size of New York City) in South East Asia comprising of people of Chinese, Indian and Malay descent. Our president is an ethnic Chinese, but we have an Indian minority and a Malay minority. We've had Indian and Chinese presidents before too. We have no nuclear weapons and are not a threat to anyone. We are mostly a trading port with a heavy military and air force. We are open to trade with China, Japan, the US, Taiwan, anyone.

I was wondering, how likely is war to break out in Asia? We've had a few close calls before. www.straitstimes.com/opinion/bringing-singapore-to-brink-of-war-wont-make-china-great-again. Two of our military troop carriers were unexpectedly held at Hong Kong port at one point. www.nytimes.com/2016/11/29/world/asia/singapore-taiwan-hong-kong-armored-personnel-carriers.html. We've also been kicked out of a Chinese military exercise. www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/singapore-kicked-out-of-china-asean-military-drill. Recently, we had an Indian MP call for a boycott of Indian Americans doing business with Indians. www.ndtv.com/india-news/indian-origin-singapore-mp-warns-against-boycott-such-appeals-can-backfire-2473591.

Taiwan seems to be setting itself up for war. The US is saying they'll defend Taiwan from China. But Taiwan's president is saying that Taiwan is now part of the "democratic world". This seems like something that Taiwan should not be saying. Taiwan's president has also said that Taiwan should declare independence from China, but she walked it back. Taiwan has an elected government while China has a communist government. But Taiwan is a tiny island with 25 million people. China has 1.4 billion people. China has nuclear weapons and a massive military. Taiwan has some missile defenses but little else. Japan also seems to disagree with China's claims to islands they said are theirs. www.the-japan-news.com/news/article/0009016888. The US also has thousands of troops stationed in Japan. India and China have had military clashes before. www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia_pacific/india-china-troops-clash-along-disputed-himalayan-border/2020/05/22/5a2bdcba-9c2e-11ea-b60c-3be060a4f8e1_story.html. It seems possible that India will end up fighting China in support of Taiwan. And the US seems likely to get involved too. China has also claimed islands that belong to the Philippines. www.asiatimes.com/2019/04/article/china-still-harassing-filipino-fishermen-near-panatag-shoal/. China has claimed the entire South China Sea for itself (which would cut off Singapore from trade with all these countries). The South China Sea is also the main trade route between Asia and the rest of the world. It's not clear how the US feels about this. But I imagine Singapore's president is not happy about it. But I wonder if the US will eventually have to do something about it.

Not sure, but all this feels like a powder keg waiting to blow. I wonder, if war breaks out in Asia, how bad would it be? Which countries would be involved? Would it be a nuclear war? Would it spread to the rest of the world? How would this affect the economy and jobs? How can we prevent war?
