Might be a dumb question

I was wondering if I were to buy a coyote brown ar stock online and it said it was shipped from California what are the chances of it being illegal for California and therefor shipping with the illegal features. I know it sounds like a dumb question and with a little research I can probably find the answer but I was wondering if anyone in this community knows. <br>Thank you
