CMV: The James Webb Space Telescope, and others like it, are a waste of money, and the money spent on it could be better spent improving, and saving, human lives on Earth

I am mostly against space exploration, especially the kind that requires multi-billion dollar telescopes, or manned space stations/moons. I don't think it's worth it. The money spent could be better used on education, healthcare, the homeless, etc. There are so many problems on Earth that need attention and money, yet a lot of it is being funneled into space exploration projects.

Space exploration, and the associated equipment/craft needed to do it, costs a lot, and people like Musk, Bezos, etc., are spending their own money on their personal space exploration dreams. The government doesn't need to also spend multi-billion dollar grants on space stuff when there are problems on Earth that need to be addressed. There's no need to spend so much money looking out into space, and trying to go out into space. We haven't even explored nearly 100% of our oceans yet, yet here we are sending probes onto comets, and spending billions on telescopes.

When the beaurocrats and ultra-rich use their own money to build shelters, feed the starving, provide good education for all, healthcare, clean up pollution, etc. Then they can use their own money to build their stupid space ships and observatories. And they don't. They won't. They'll talk a good talk, they'll donate in small amounts, and they won't do anything else.

Until they do, space stuff is a waste of money.
