I reserved a park-and-stay package through Booking.com for a night at the Loews Hotel, where I could park in their garage for a week, stay for a night, and then take my flight the next morning. I reserved the least expensive package available and took a basic room. The hotel room was very nice, and the bed was comfortable. Everything went great, other than when I went to get a towel.

I went to the bathroom to get a towel, and I found what I believe to have been a towel used by the last person in the room. It looked new, clean, and unused other than the amoutn on the floor. I was about to grab it when I notice brown spots on the towel. Some of the spots were brown and some were black. There was also a large smear of what looked like mud on the towel, but at the time I was not thinking about it too much. After getting under the sink and finding the clean towels, I went back to the front desk to ask if they could replace the towel or send someone up to get it.

If you can believe it, I was met at the front desk with zero curiosity from the employee at the desk. There was no "Are you sure it was like that" or "How is that possible" or "I can't believe that." The employee at the front desk was very quick to go into his reasons why it was not possible for the towel to be in the room, and he was very quick to make excuses for housekeeping, saying that the housekeeping associate would have been fired if he had left a towel with feces in the room.

Loews Hotel has been advertised to me on Facebook and Instagram quite a bit. I continued to see their ads, even after the associate was nonchalant about the towel with feces, and I continue to see the ads as I write this. I am in no way requesting anything. I am not writing to get anything from Loews Hotel, and I did not contact Loews Hotel before writing this. The reason I am writing this is to share my experience. I would rather not tell anyone about it because it is disgusting, but in my opinion it is important information if you are staying at the Loews Hotel.

I would give this hotel 5 stars if I had not found the towel with feces. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was very nice. They had a bar in the lobby, a small convenience store, and multiple restaurants. There were also a couple of small stores with snacks and souvenirs. The garage was nice because it was attached to the hotel, and we were able to walk straight to the elevator from the garage. We did not have to walk across a parking lot, and we did not have to go in the rain, snow, or extreme heat. The park-and-stay option was a great option for our trip and very convenient.

I will never stay at this hotel again due to how I was treated. The employee and the hotel had no regard for me or the housekeeper. The employee made himself, the housekeeper, me, and the hotel look bad. I will not stay at this hotel again because of the employee, not the housekeeper. I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. I found what I could describe as a booger hanging from the roof of the room. I went to the front desk and told the employee, who was very kind and very concerned. The employee was apologetic and offered to comp my stay and offered other perks.

I am not only upset at how I was treated, but also by how the housekeeper was treated. The employee made the housekeeper look like a total psycho by suggesting that the housekeeper had thrown the towel with poo on it in the room, and then proceeded to tell me that the housekeeper would be fired if they had done that. I believe that this employee and probably the manager treated housekeeping poorly. The employee made it seem like housekeeping is disposable. I can't imagine how you feel if you are the housekeeper who cleaned the room.

This incident was not just a housekeeper doing a bad job. The employee telling me that the housekeeper would be fired if they had done that is the real issue. Imagine going to work every day knowing that you will be fired if you make any mistakes. Then imagine if your coworker made a mistake, but it was not even their fault. Imagine if your coworker got fired because of a mistake, and then the manager tried to blame the coworker to make themselves look better, despite the fact that it was not their fault. Finally, imagine if the manager was trying to make the coworker look worse than a psychopath just to make themselves look better.

I did follow up with the hotel. The manager at the hotel was very nice and immediately apologized and said that he had no idea. He said that he will follow up on the issue, but he does not have any answers at the time. He offered to give me a discount on the bill and offered to charge me for a lesser rate, which he already did.
