I buy a bread called "bolillo" from our local Mexican grocery store. I use it to make French toast and it is excellent. It is a sweet bread that has a texture that is like a baguette, but it is more dense. It has a crispy crust, but it is not hard like a baguette. It is lighter than Challah bread and it is not chewy. It is just a great bread and I usually buy it for 1.50 a loaf.

I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for this bread. I want to make it at home.

TIA

ETA: I'm not a baker, but I am going to try to make this. I appreciate all of the help.
