Tesla to open a new office in Tel Aviv, Israel

Tesla is moving a step closer toward opening its new office in Tel Aviv, Israel. According to local Israeli outlet Calcalist, Tesla plans to open a new research and development center in Tel Aviv.<br><br>Tesla has purchased 10,000 square feet of office space in Sapir Tower in Tel Aviv and plans to open an office there in the near future. <br><br>In the meantime, Tesla is establishing a temporary office in the city.<br><br>According to the report, Tesla has been looking for office space in Tel Aviv for “a long time,” with some saying it took over a year to find the right space.<br><br>The search process was led by Tesla’s facilities manager for the EMEA region, Bar Shmorak, who is Israeli, as well as the real estate consultant, Kfir Kalimi.<br><br>Tesla reportedly looked at multiple locations before narrowing down its search to Sapir Tower in the High-Tech zone in Herzliya.<br><br>The size of the office has led some to speculate that Tesla plans to launch its business in Israel either by opening retail stores, hiring local employees or launching its insurance products in the country.
