Gun culture isn't about fetishization of guns, it's just like cars and hiking.

I really love my guns, I do. It's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about at night. It's so satisfying when I have it in my hands, I sometimes get emotional because I never thought I'd be able to own something so beautiful.

My love for guns is nothing like my love for my partner. My partner can go days without me thinking about its mechanics, but my guns are always on the forefront of my mind. I love my guns so much that I am so sensitive to the sight of firearms being used improperly.

I appreciate the finer details of my guns, the way the light shines off of the metal, the way that a suppressor can make a gun look intimidating, the way a 30 round mag makes my gun feel like a samurai sword.

I wish that there was more representation of guns in media, so that people could see just how fucking cool they are. It's so important to see people safely operating guns in a positive light, because it can be so confusing to have so many different messages being sent about guns. I love seeing memes where people are dressed up in costumes holding guns, because it shows that guns can be used as a source of joy and freedom.

In the winter I like to tromp through the woods for miles with my guns on my back or in my hands, the cold wind and 30 pounds of equipment on my back makes me feel alive. I love the challenge of shooting guns in the cold when the recoil makes the stock hurt my shoulder.

When I'm not in the woods, I like to spent my time inside polishing and cleaning my guns. There's something so satisfying about the way that a freshly polished gun can reflect light off of the barrel.

My love for guns has really helped me develop a sense of self. It's so important to me that I can defend myself and my community, sometimes I feel like I'm using my guns as a crutch for my lack of self confidence, but I've learned to appreciate the gun as an effective tool for self defense and sport.

The aesthetics of my guns are so important to me, I love how they look, I love the way the light shines through the sights, I love the way a good optic makes the gun feel powerful. I'm so picky that I've spent hundreds of hours choosing the right firearm for me and I've spent hundreds of dollars buying the perfect accessories.

I love the culture that surrounds guns. I've met so many great people in the gun community, from people who own 2 guns to people who own 20. We all share a common love for guns and we all appreciate each other's love for the hobby.

Guns are my favorite thing to talk about. I could talk for hours about the best type of ammo or barrel length or the best gun for self defense. My love for guns is so strong that I can even tolerate people who don't like guns. It's awful to see people with so much prejudice towards something that they don't understand.
