Do childfree people spend more money on pets?

How much do childfree people spend on pets on average? I know that is a tough question but I really want to know. I do not want pets and I do not want children. I know I am an outlier.<br><br>My mom is telling me that I need to spend more money on my cat if I choose not to have pets. She has 2 dogs and spends a lot on them. She also spends a lot on her grandkids. I make way more than her but I don't spend as much as her. I own my house and cars and do not have a lot of debt. She has a lot of debt and is starting to get upset because I spend a little money on myself.
