Halo-Chat Thoughts and Questions

A long while ago, I posted this in r/rant, so here it is again, more revised and all, I'm curious about anyone's thoughts on this, it's not just Halo-related, but as per the title, it is primarily Halo-related.<br><br>---<br><br>Hello, I am a proud gamer. I have been one for years, and I am just recently becoming more and more neutral to the whole thing.<br><br>I've played Halo for years, and I can always remember the bad players, the ones that scream at you through the microphone, that call you the N-Word, the C-Word, the B-Word, the T-Word, and the F-Word. These people make up a smaller group than you think, they're just the loudest. They are the ones that can't play, who blame it on everyone else, who get mad at you, blame you for their mistakes, and as per earlier, scream at you through the microphone.<br><br>I've had a couple incidents, but the one that just got me was this one kid who called my girlfriend a C-Word.<br><br>FUCKING REALLY?<br><br>I can't speak for everyone, but this is incredibly offensive to me. No one should be called that word EVER, not even in anger. It's disrespectful, sexist, and uncool. And honestly, it doesn't even make sense. You're mad at me, so you're going to call my friend or girlfriend a derogatory word for a vagina? It makes no sense.<br><br>I haven't stopped playing Halo, but I'm probably going to stop playing online unless I'm with a bunch of friends. The community isn't all like that, but I'm getting to the point where I expect everyone to be like that, and I don't want to play with them.<br><br>So please, try to be nice online. You can have a bad game and not scream at everyone for your losses. You don't have to be an asshole just because you're behind a computer screen.<br><br>tl;dr: I've playing Halo for years but I'm starting to lose faith in the community.<br><br>EDIT: I didn't expect this to blow up.
