I don’t understand why older ladies have to have a witchy cottage core home.

I mean I’m 65, and I lived through the 70s so I can understand why you’d like to reminisce about your past by furnishing your home with not that many things but a lot of them were from your past. But these houses always seem to have so much clutter, I don’t get the appeal. I mean I like vintage stuff too, but I like to have a minimal amount of things total, so it doesn’t make sense to me to have a house full of some new stuff and a lot of old stuff.

Also, I don’t understand why having an old house with a bunch of stuff in it means you’re a good woman. I thought feminism was partially about getting out of traditional gender roles, not falling into traditional gender roles even harder.

I feel like this kind of thing is talked about a lot about moms sunken syncline, but it feels like it’s not talked about as much with this.
