Did anyone ever find that flying was a luxury? Or is it just me?

I'm really young so I apparently missed out on the luxury of flying for the most part. My grandmother often tells me stories of when she was able to get on a plane and fly anywhere and people would dress up and be well mannered. I understand that it's not like that anymore and it's just a way to travel, not something exciting. I've flown probably over 100 times because of my family and I never got that feeling that it was a luxury. I've flown with different airlines and they're all the same. As long as you get to where you want to go who cares? The only thing I really don't like is when you pay extra for first class and literally don't get anything extra. First and business class should get treated a lot better than the rest of the passengers.
