I always feel so guilty eating "leftover" food

So i'm a grocery delivery driver, and when I have food in my bags for longer than 90 minutes, I have to leave it, if the customer doesnt tell me to bring it, i will leave it.

I got a full cart of food today, and the guy said to just leave it. I called my regional manager and he said to bring it to a food bank or bring it to a grocery store that the company owns (because it's still in good condition). I brought it to a grocery store, and they said we don't take it. Instead they gave some to us, and said to open it and put it in our cars to eat it before it went bad, we did that, and now I got a bunch of groceries that are from today, but I feel bad eating it because I didn't pay for it, and it was literally going to be thrown out, and I really didn't want to give it to my friends so I can eat it.

Has anyone ever had a similar experience?
