## Introduction
I’ve been a paramedic for over 10 years. I know there’s a lot of myths and legends in the profession, but most of them are just that - legends. However, I’ve encountered something that has left me absolutely baffled and terrified. I saw a patient close to a radiofrequency field (RF field) suffer severe injuries in the middle of an emergency. This story is about what happened and how it relates to the RF field.

## The Story
One day, we were on an emergency call when we heard the continuous beeping of a monitor in our office. We arrived to find the victim lying unresponsive, with his chest shredded, similar to a stab wound. As paramedics, we follow proper protocol and take care of victims with acute injuries, as well as patients with chronic conditions like Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). We treat seizures and injuries from trauma. We also hand out Narcan for opiod overdoses. We are well equipped to handle a variety of situations.

We immediately checked the victim's vitals and performed a full-body scan, but there were absolutely no signs of trauma. He didn't have seizures or any other symptoms that could explain his condition. It was as if he had been attacked by something, and we were the first ones on the scene. His monitor was picking up irregular heartbeats that weren’t there, and it wasn’t until we realized he had been near an RF field that the pieces finally clicked into place.

## The RF Field
As paramedics, we were aware of the risks associated with RF fields, but we had never actually encountered a case where someone had been injured by one. However, in this case, the fact that the monitor was suddenly picking up irregular heartbeats that weren’t there is very telling. The RF field was the likely culprit, and it was a turning point in our investigation. The question now was how to get the victim out of there safely.

## Getting the Victim out Safely
The victim's safety was our top priority. We knew we had to get him away from the RF field without making his condition worse. We carefully moved him to a safe location, away from the RF field, and administered medication to stabilize his heart rate. It was a delicate process, but we were able to get him the help he needed. As paramedics, we are trained to respond to a wide range of emergencies, and this was a particularly challenging one.

## The Aftermath
The victim survived, but the experience left us shaken. It was a stark reminder of the potential dangers of RF fields, and we made sure to report the incident to the relevant authorities. It was a sobering experience that made us more aware of the risks associated with RF fields and the importance of taking precautions when working near them.

## Conclusion
This experience taught us a valuable lesson about the potential dangers of RF fields. As paramedics, we learn to be prepared for unexpected situations, and we know the importance of safety precincts. This incident was a wake-up call, reminding us to always be cautious when working near RF fields.

The victim's story serves as a warning to others. We're in the field to help people, and this incident reminds us of the importance of safety awareness.
