Prostitution should be legal and so should pimping. Let me explain.

I don't think I need to explain why prostitution should be legal. It is safer for everyone and there is no black market for it to be exploited, since that is the biggest issue, the exploitation.

Pimping, in my opinion, should be legal as well. The definition of pimping is essentially someone who is taking a share of the earnings in return for some kind of service. Pretty much like a manager in any other profession. Let's look at an example in another profession to explain what I mean. Let's say I'm an actor and want to get into a movie. I am a good actor, I know this. I am able to pick a manager to get me auditions to get parts. My manager does all the work to schedule these auditions but in return takes a share of my paycheck. This seems fair. Now let's take prostitution as an example. Let's say I'm a good prostitute and want to meet potential customers. I could find a manager who knows a lot of people and has connections in the industry. He schedules meetings for me and does all the hard work but takes a certain percentage of my earnings in return.

What is wrong with this? The prostitute is doing the service being paid for but the pimp is doing work to ensure they get more business. No one is being exploited in this scenario.

Now, let's talk about why pimping is looked down on. Let's say you have a pimp that uses threats of violence to keep a woman doing the work. This is wrong and not what I am advocating for. I think it should be illegal for anyone to make someone do something they don't want to do. But if someone is just managing someone and taking a share of the earnings, this should be legal.
