URGENT: I'm really tired of a piece of software not doing what I want it to do!

I'm a software engineer, and I've had the same problem in the past, and now it's happening again.

I've been using software X because our company tells me to. It's an important thing, because we use X to integrate with other very expensive software Y which we all use.

I was doing B and C, but that software keeps messing up in the same way every day. A person would have to do B and C over and over again, and it takes days to get it right. I tell the software X people about this, but they are very slow and barely interact with me. They also don't get it. I don't think they understand that this is the most important problem.

I'm so fed up with software X that I want to avoid it altogether. I think Y has an API, probably for a reason. I don't trust any new software if I don't make it myself. I'll probably write a script for it. If I want to do the same thing, I'll try to make it a command line interface program.

Wish me luck.

Why am I posting this here? Because I want to have a place to put this, and I'm trying to get in the habit of putting these kinds of thoughts in the system (I am a software engineer after all). And who knows, if I write the tool, maybe I can turn this into a conversation.
