What did the average german citizen think of the war afterWW2 in occupied Germany from 45-50?

After 1945 Germany went through a process called Denazification and a great deal of propaganda was spread by the Americans during this time to show the average German how bad the war was and that the German people should be ashamed. <br><br>What did the average German citizen think of this. I can’t seem to find any good sources on this.
