What is the nature of the mind or soul in a zombie body?

This is in the context of the philosophical zombie argument.<br><br>When a zombie has been killed and is now a lifeless corpse, what is the nature of its mind or soul? Is it a soulless body? Is it a lifeless automaton?<br><br>In other words, does the plant based zombie body have a zombie soul or mind attached to it? Was the zombie soul the thing that was keeping the zombie body "alive" despite being a lifeless corpse?
