The most annoying thing about the internet is that everyone assumes you are from the US or know everything about the US all the time.

As a British guy, I shouldn't have to know everything about the US or have to introduce myself as "The British guy" every time I comment on anything.

Moreover, I absolutely hate the fact that every time I go onto a website, I have to change the location from US to UK. Even on tinder, when I definitely don't want to match with anyone from the US.
The internet isn't based in the US, it is a global phenomenon that just so happens to be in English. Get over it.

EDIT: In regards to the argument "Because we are an international brand we need a default and chose the US as it is the biggest market for most things."

This makes sense for corporate and merchandising type of things, however, for something like Chambers which is just a bunch of people posting their opinions, you don't have one "biggest market place" as it is just international discussion.
Therefore, making the location US all the time is completely unjustified when we could just choose our locations in our settings (and sounds the alarm to our overlords when we do so).

EDIT 2: Explained it all with the previous edit but the TL:DR is that there is no "biggest market place" for Chambers so is completely irrelevant.
