AITA for deciding to pay my wife the money I would pay for a professional doula so she can have “me” the way she wants as her doula?

I (25M) thought it was ridiculous that my wife (26F) wanted me to be her doula and I refused. I told her to get a professional one but she refused, saying that she wanted her husband to be there and that hiring someone else defeats the point of what a doula does. This went back and forth for a while until I finally said she could pay me what she’d pay a doula if she wanted me to be there so badly. She didn’t say anything but looked pretty pissed off.

Now I feel like maybe I was an asshole here? I’m just trying to show her how absurd it is to think that I can be her doula. I absolutely do not want to be there and I am going to be enough with supporting her emotionally through the birth and after.

Edit: so firstly I am not calling my wife a child, I called her childish for wanting to black mail me into being her doula and getting upset when I agreed to her proposal in a way she wasn’t expecting. Secondly, I never said I didn’t want to be in the delivery room. I didn’t want to be her DOULA. Those are two very different things. I never said I was too good for this job or any other job. I’m just not qualified, nor do I want to be her doula. Lastly, I wouldn’t need this money but my wife struggled after our first child came because of an issue with her uterus that required surgery, I would pay for her doula in a heart beat, but that’s not the issue. It’s that she wants me to be her doula and she wants me to do it for free. Which is absolutely absurd.
