America is positively a cult

Just a vent right now. I'm Canadian and even though politics in my country are a mess, I don't see this type of extreme devotion to politicians here. Americans, in general, have this level of dedication and close mindedness that I've only seen in pictures of North Korea. <br><br>The amount of people I've talked to, even friends, that refuse to see the reality of America (they're not a democracy, corporations run the show, a lot of crime and anti-human acts are carried out by the government themselves etc) and they can't even begin to see that. They think they truly have a choice and that their systems are working. Am I truly a pot calling someone else black? I have a hard time believing that. It doesn't help that the US and Canada are very close in mindset.<br><br>What do you think?
