new to this sub, and I’m a college chef but I’ve never seen anything like this. My friend just sent me a screenshot of her grocery bill that was almost 700 dollars. <br><br>I looked through the items and it was literally half the pantry section. I can’t imagine ANY household going through 5 tubs of butter, 2 loaves of bread, 10 jars of pickles, and 6 cartons of eggs (if you live alone!) in just ONE week. And to top it off, I saw like 4 “handling fees” as well as a couple of “taxes” 12% and 15%. <br><br>Does anyone know what could have caused such a huge difference in cost? Was she just buying a bunch of small items or literally buying in bulk?
