I have been striving to be more frugal on my food budget but I dont want to sacrifice quality. I did something similar to this. I threw some frozen chicken in a pot and added some olive oil and literally threw some garlic in and some onion. Then I added some frozen mushrooms, frozen green beans, and frozen peas, some tomato sauce and a cup of chicken broth liquid. I let it simmer for a while and added some plain greek yogurt to make the sauce thicker. Sauteed some rice in a pan with olive oil and butter. It was so delicious and satisfying. I definitely cant do this and freeze 30 days worth of meals like some people do it but I can try to re purpose ingredients and put some effort in to make something tasty and satisfying. If I buy pre cut frozen chicken and pre made tomato sauce I can probably make it even cheaper. Anyone have any good recipes/re purposed ingredients to share? Im very interested.

Edit: I dont understand why Im getting so many downvotes. I have gotten over 25 upvotes as well as several comments but I got just as many downvotes as upvotes. I understand that this is not a recipe for everyone but I think it might help someone. I did put effort into the post. I just dont want to make a post like this again if it is just gonna be downvoted because I thought I over『contributed』.
