Why do people like to post tweets with fake presidential tweets on chambers?

On chambers you will often see screenshots of tweets in /c/politics, /c/redscarepod, /c/offmychest, /c/unpopularopinion and many more of tweets that have a blue checkmark next to them. The first time I saw a tweet like this on Chambers, I thought these were actual tweets that the president posted. I showed them to people I know and laughed at them for thinking they were real. I then found out that they weren't actually real tweets from the president, but a person making up what they think he would say in a tweet. These fake "presidential tweets" are getting thousands of upvotes, and people are actually believing they are real. Why do people do this?
