Does anyone really make a good living outside of tech?

I’ve been mostly disappointed with my career progression in my field (aged care).

After multiple promotions and what I thought were professional achievements, I’m only earning about 110k after 15 years of professional experience. I think I’m naive as I really thought I was doing a lot better than that, but I’m about half of what my friends in tech/cloud engineering etc earn.

I’m just curious if I need to upskill or reskill in order to improve my career prospects.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I understand there are people who do well in other industries. Currently I’m in service delivery. I’m exploring other areas in the field. I’ve also started to see and explore options in adjacent fields like health and medical research. Thank you all for the feedback. I’m just at a cross roads and feel stuck.
