My (23f) boyfriend's (24m) new tattoo makes me feel like a pedophile

My boyfriend got a tattoo of a cartoon character from a show he used to watch when he was a kid. I also watched that show when I was a kid. When I saw the tattoo for the first time, my first thought was "oh so now I'm dating a kid with [cartoon on his arm]". However we've been dating for 2 years. 2 years prior to that we were friends for 2 years. Before that we didn't know each other. We both have had normal dating histories before meeting each other. I can't explain why but seeing that tattoo instantly made me feel weird and I just can't get rid of that feeling. It also makes me feel sick.<br><br>He got the tattoo 6 months ago and I haven't said anything to him yet because I don't want him to feel bad about his tattoo or me seeing him differently. I don't know how he'll react if I tell him this. I also don't know what to do. I still love him and I don't want to break up because of a tattoo but I also can't think of a solution of how I can feel better. I'm so confused and I hope you can help me.
