This is my first time posting anything on Chambers and my first time shoplifting. I followed all the rules, and I listened to all the good people here and I did an amazing job tonight! I want to thank everyone who has given me advice. I was pretty sure I was going to be arrested, but its my birthday and I was feeling like I wanted something nice as a gift to myself. I had a trashbag in my pocket, and my hands and feet were covered because I was pretty sure I was going to be arrested, but I was terribly nervous. When I crossed the detectors, someone in a red vest ran out and said "Sir, please stop!" and then he said "I'm going to have to call my manager" I said "I'm not trying to run from the security guards!" and then I sat down and two minutes later, a young lady with a clipboard came out and asked "Sir, do you have anything on you that you haven't paid for?" And I said "No, I don't" and she said "Please come with me so we can talk about a few things." I said "Okay, I don't mind talking" and then when we got into the security room, she said she was going to call 911 and that she was going to have me arrested for shoplifting, and that this was my first warning and if I ever came back then I would be prosecuted for the crime of shoplifting and I said "I didn't steal anything!" and she said "Then why did you run from my security guard?" and I said "I didn't run from him, that's the reason why I'm here with you right now" and then she asked me for my license so she could write down all my information and I said "I'm not comfortable with that" and she said "Alright, then I'm going to need you to empty your pockets so I can make sure you don't have anything on you that you haven't paid for" and I said "Okay, but I'm not removing my pants" and she said "That's fine, I just need to see what's in your pockets" and so I emptied my pockets and all my stolen goods fell out and she said "You do not need to call 911" into the phone and I said "Yep, definitely not" and I grabbed all my shit and she said "Don't take that, that's the property of target" and I said "No, this is my property and I'm going to take it with me" and then I left and I drove to a park and I looked through everything and I was very happy with my bounty.

The Take:

* Photo frame
* 3 tubs of hummus
* Caramel filled chocolate balls
* Mocha coffee
* Half a watermelon
* Kiwi fruit
* Instructions for some kind of stuff
* $20
* $40
* $60
* $80
* $100
* $40
* $120
* $80
* $60
* $40
* $20
* $30
* $90
* $180
* $360
* $50
* $50
* $50
* $50
* $50
* $100
* $100
* $100
* $50
* $50
* $100
* $1000
* $100
* $100
* $0.97

Total

* $3080.97
* 1 photo frame
* 3 tubs of hummus
* 1 half watermelon
* 1 kiwi fruit
* 1 tub of coffee
* 1 tub of chocolate
* 1 watermelon
* 1 tub of caramel

I want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my shoplifting.
