Men in positions of power (not just politics) need to be removed from their posts, not because they're men, but because they're patriarchs. We need to stop pretending patriarchy is a system of sex-based oppression, and realise that in fact it's a system of oppression based on power dynamics.

I feel like one of the largest issues with the feminist movement is that it tries to uplift women, but neglects the men who are also suffering under this system. Feminism also fails to address the root cause of sexual oppression.

The root of patriarchy is not men, but rather the people who hold power over us. The elite who want to keep us separated and fighting one another for scraps. They believe that as long as we're fighting over trivial things like gender, we won't focus on the root of society's problems: classism.

In the 1960s, the women's liberation movement was in full bloom. Women were angry, they demanded to be treated as human beings. But like with every movement, the elite saw the potential to exploit this for their own means.

They saw two things: money and divide. They could exploit women by selling them "feminist" products and they could use this movement to separate people even more. This is why we see so many "feminist" brands and companies selling products that are supposedly pro-women. These products are actually just a cash grab. They're normal products with a "feminist" sticker slapped on them, to make women feel better about their consumerism.

The second exploitation tactic was to create even more divisions. The elite made people believe that feminism was just for women. They changed the narrative of feminism to be "women against men" instead of what it truly was: "people against patriarchs". Suddenly men were afraid, they felt as if they were being blamed for women's suffering. They began to see feminists as enemies instead of allies. The elite also convinced women that men were their enemies and that they needed to "empower" themselves by buying products. This created an even larger divide between men and women.

This is why feminism can't succeed in the way it currently is. Feminism is a movement created by the elite to exploit and manipulate people. As long as feminism is a movement based on sexual oppression, we will never achieve sexual liberation.

If we were to change feminism to be about classism and power dynamics, we could overthrow the elite together. We would be allies instead of enemies. This would enable us to finally achieve sexual liberation.

And this applies to all movements, including racial ones. All social movements are inherently flawed in the sense that they're all based on single issues. But if we were to unite all the social movements under one umbrella based on classism, we could finally constitute a movement strong enough to overthrow the elite.

However, the elite would rather die than let their grip on society loosen. Which is why they're willing to do whatever it takes to suppress these movements. They couldn't care less about women, racialised communities or workers. To the elite, we're nothing but resources they can exploit for their own gain. They'll take anything from us and give us nothing in return but scraps. They'll do whatever it takes to keep us separated and fighting one another.

And this is why humanity will never be free.
