The fact that memes are a multi-million dollar industry disgusts me

Memes are supposed to be humorous little inside-jokes between people on the internet that get outdated after a couple of months, they're not supposed to be a goddamn money maker. This is another example of something good being ruined by capitalism. I could go on but I don't want to sound like another anti-capitalism boomer
