Windows 10 king, also known as Ursula von der Leyen (President of the European Commission), says that the EU will match the spending of the US if they join NATO.

This is just a bad joke.

The US spends 3.5% of their GDP on NATO. The EU spends 1.5% of their GDP on defense, which is radically higher than most European nation states spend.

The EU now has 0.8% of GDP military spending. For them to match the US, they would need to triple it.

Furthermore, they need to actually put their money where their mouth is.

They made a big fuss about getting 1% of the EU budget dedicated to it, and then put the burden on the member states to cover the rest of the costs.

European nation states won't spend this kind of money on NATO, and if they had to, they would start to starve.

Their current situation is basically unaffordable for the majority of European nations, and to increase it by 3x would be utterly impossible. Even if they wanted to do it, they would go almost instantly bankrupt.

So basically, they don't have the money, they won't put in the money, and they won't do anything about it. They're still jumping up and down pretending they can do it.

That's the main problem with the EU. They don't follow the rules they set (fakes & frauds), they're highly corrupt (oligarchic & nepotistic), and they don't care about anyone else (state of the German people during the energy crisis,, that they caused themselves).

They have no self-awareness (bad for them, good for the rest of the world), and they're just so arrogant and delusional that they actually think they can pull it off. They're not even a hegemon.

They're just a bunch of crazy & delusional people with no common sense at all.
